Hello all,
my name is Hans, I'm from Belgium and I'm new to this 944 forum.
I've been looking to the 964RS forum fo a while now, on which I had posted a question about a 944 turbo cup car.
someone form that form suggested using this forum for my question, so here we go.
I've bought a 1988 944 turbo cup car recently.
the car came with some letters and pictures.
it raced in the 1988 season in the German international cup series and had Niki Leutwiler as driver and racenumber 29
it came 7th for that season
for the 1989 season the car was driven by Fredi Briedl for team Strahle autosport in the first 3 races of teh season.
he then bought another car.
the car was race further in this season by Rudiger Schmidt. but I don't have any more information on this.
If i could find some info on the look of the car or the racenumber then i could find more.
Porsche itself keeps no records on race in relation to the VIN number of the car, so a racenumber should help a lot
does anyone of you have any ideas on where to find info on the cup results, cup cars and drivers?
I know that a lot of car info can be found on the asarus site from France, but not a lot on the cup races and results itself.
thank you very much in advance.
kind regards
Hans
