Hi All

Thanks in advance for all advice

Does anyone know who & where manufacture "crossover pipes" i have noticed there is a one on Lindsey Racing site although this looks to me as an exchange unit, no good for me really...

Any other aftermarket uprated manufacturers ?

Thanks

I would have the original one rewelded. The alloy Porsche used was of very high quality... Where is yours cracked exactly?

The very few times I heard people justify the need for a modified/aftermarket pipe was for "extremely" modified engines where the original one created odd issues specific to those few exotic engines.

Hi
I don't know if this is the same part but I have a brand new pipe and flange part no 951-123-040-05. I posted for sale on the 8/11/12.
These are the ones that are prone to crack around the flange
If it is and you are interested let me know unfortunately I am not available until Sat 25th May.

Mines cracked !!! [/quote]

Sorry to hear that, I agree with the weld repair, but maybe its not cracked on a weld?

Have heard that they can fail internally and become restrictive - thats why I asked.

Its one of those parts that could be considered "a bit of pipe", but actually, due to the heat involved in the application, its quite a carefully designed bit of pipe.

Good luck with the repair

Hi All

Thanks for all your help, OPC have confirmed the part number for my car 951 111 096 16.

Looking at the part Brad has for sale that is 951-123-040-05, and checking his signuture i'm thinking it may have been for his 87 220 turbo.

So my question is will this part fit any turbo as all them listed on ebay seem to claim ?

Thanks

How did you relise yours was cracked?

Wonder why they got a new part number? Would suspect the older part number MIT be a bit more exotic in the build, and cost cuts lead 2 a new part number?

Heard a rattle noise en-route back from Germany & had it up on the lift.

Hi All

I am still looking for a two piece cross over pipe if anyone knows where i can source one, someone must have one lying around ???!!!! [:(] [8|]

Have you tried eBay and the scrappers?

I hade my Wastegate pipe go (under full throttle sounded normal until the wastegate started to open then wow!) but managed to get one from ebay for a fraction of the new OPC part (£75 vs £240) and then had a local garage fit it for me.
