944 SIDE WING REPEATERS

Can anyone please tell me how these should be attatched to the wings ? i came out today when the sun was blazing hot & found both of them nearly hanging from their wires !! seems they have an adhesive foam backing gasket which holds them onto the wing & it looks like the sun has made the adhesive weak enough to unstick them !! is this right ?, cheers, Jinxy
 
Mine had a plastic clip which clicked into the body, not a great design and both mine were cracked.
 
There a stud and larger clip where the bulb sits. Often the clip snaps, not spring back out. Can try and pack the clip out with some tape or something that will give and spring back out.

The gastics is thin and is there 2 create a water right seal / soft face against the paint. Not sure how water tight they are.

You can pick them up cheaper as vw park. Golf mk2, srococo, Audi


Are they orange? I think Iv got a few sets, will need 2 check there not broke the same as yours.
 
Mine were held in with a sprung plastic clip at the back and small lug at the front.

Got mine from Ebay for £5.50 the pair - just checked and they are still available.
 
Clipped in. If you go to ACE parts you can get them cheep and in all different colours as well.
