944 S2 Tow Eye

Hello everyone
I have a tow eye but it won't screw in because it is the wrong shape. It is round and I believe it should be oval. I have looked around and there appears to be several different shapes and sizes with some longer than others.
I would like to obtain the correct tow eye for my ’89 944 S2 Turbo so if someone could advise me of the correct shape and length I would be most grateful. Maybe someone even has a spare?
Many thanks

It could be, trouble is I'm nor sure? It certainly looks right and is more oval than the one I've got which fouls on the body so won't screw in.
See attached photo.
Thanks

Well it came out of my 944S2 which was turned into a race car 12 years ago.....Which I sold in September. Spotted it in my tool box yesterday. You can have it if you pay the postage.

Yes please that would be most appreciated. Let me know the postage and I will bacs you the payment.
Is there some way I can PM you my name and address etc?

Hi there, hope you got sorted with the right towing eye - I'm intrigued about your bodywork - I have a '88 Turbo S with the same bodywork and towing eye - not had a problem getting it fitted. Was the issue front or rear bumper ?

Hi Chris
Sorry just noticed your post.
The problem appears to be the length of the tow eye shank. The thread is correct but the actual eye part fouls on the grille and so does not screw all the way in.
I am now seeking an eye with the longer shank.
Regards
