944 lux tyres

Assuming it is on the standard 7x15" rims, what you want is 195/65 15 with a V rating.
I'd be looking at the Continental PremiumContact5 in that size, about £65 a corner. Haven't had them on a 944, but they've always been good on BMWs, albeit in a slightly larger size in that case on the 3-series.

hi yes on the standard 15" at the moment i have 215 60 15
what difference would it make putting on 195 tyres ?

If you want winter tyres 195 is best . They are also cheaper and you have many brands to choose from .
215's are becoming scarce ,not much to chose from any more and are also too expensive for what they are.
For summer tyres i would switch to 16" wheels .

For 195/65/15 winters i like Dunlop 4D or Bridgestone Blizzak
for 215/60/15 summer Falken 912 or Continental Premium contact 2
for 16" summer Toyo T1R or Bridgestone S02

thanks for the replies not going to change for winter but will look for some 16" wheels i think
cheers
Dave
