Thanks in advance

If you go inside the boot and remove the right hand side carpeting you should be able to feel through to the metal 'L' shaped tube, which sits almost directly above the wheel arch, that connects to that grommet and then ultimately to the (i guess nylon) tube that carries the overflow down and out the bottom of the rear well, I think this is linked by a Y adapter to the feed from the sunroof drain if you have one of those.

I took mine out because it was blocked with greasy deposits, I guess dirt, fuel and other chemicals over time, so it was leaking all into the boot and soaking into the huge sponge otherwise known as the boot carpet. I did buy a new grommet from OPC too for about £3 but haven't fitted it yet, I just uses some pipe cleaners and flexible wires to push all the gunk out and clean it up before reassembling. Then worth using a syringe to just wash some water through and make sure it drips out the bottom of the car onto the drive/road rather than into the back of your motor.

Hope the above is what you are referring to. Best of luck!

Yeah, that is the best reply/explaination i've ever had on here.

Thanks again !!!

When my sunroof drains were blocked I used a length of welding rod to feed down the drain. I felt a blockage and gently prodded for a few minutes and it eventually freed up. Then poured water down the drain and a load of crudnflushed out of the bottom. A very satisfying job. Important not to push against the blockage too hard though as you could push the drain tube off it's connector.

Thats the problem, i have already pushed against the blockage & pushed the drain tube out of the hole where the filler cap is, so i now need tp get in to reconnect it ? [&:]

Exactly what I did, I found it easier to remove the gromit then push the metal tube up through the gap, reattach the gromit and then put ease it back into the chassis hole - need to have a steady hand and fine flat blade screwdriver for that though.

Good luck
