944 Driver’s Door Hinge adjustment

I purchased a 944 Turbo earlier this year and the driver’s door drops slightly on opening. There is visible play in the top hinge.

I found replacement pins (which aren’t expensive) but before I take the door off has anyone replaced the hinge pins and if so any best suggestions as to how to go about replacing them and rehanging the door??

Changed hinge pins on other cars and they pushed / tapped out using a drift and small hammer.

When refitting, used a drift pushed up from bottom to align holes and then tapped pin in from the top.
