Now I am using my car, I have realised the stereo is rubbish and it cuts out, goes blank and I have no music. So, in a 944 what do we all have for sounds, not after Amps and bass tubes but want to improve it, I think it's the unit rather than an issue with the cars wiring, being a cab there seems limited space but wouldn't mind improving the speakers whilst I am at it but not sure where they would, mine has some jbl ones in the front doors but no others from what I can see. What can be fitted into a 944 interior withou hacking it about ?

Uprating the speakers ,using same size as standard makes quite a difference. Speakers arent what they used to be,thankfully

I've found that 10 speacker upgrade gives excellent sound. Has 2 be the 10 speaker and not 968! As 2 off the speacker are blanked off on them. Iv got a set with black leather door cards. Will be up 4 sale.

Hi, I fitted Rainbow KX9 x 15 speakers into the standard front door position. I needed 968 speaker covers to give a little more clearance for them to fit. Why Rainbow? While waiting to be served at the local ICE specialist I struck up a conversation with a chap who turned out to be a judge at ICE contests. Not my thing, but nevertheless when i told him what i was after he recommended these speakers, on the basis that they are very good quality, if a little hard to find for the cost, £70. They were certainly a lot better than the Panasonics that came out, but i have not compared them to any other speakers.

10 speaker upgrade is good but I modified it to make it even better this is the install thread you may not want all the amps the speaker bit may be of use http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=10637
