I recently purchased a 1987 - 930, D731 GFH from PCGB Member Tim B (Thanks Tim) and wanted to trace its History from Production, time spent in Germany until July 1997 to its present home. Tim kindly provided me with the FSH and info from June 1998 - August 2005. All assistance and pointers welcome.

I am also looking to get some jobs done on the car and am looking for the following, Any help on these items (where to purchase / good suppliers) would be much apreciated:

1) Factory Manual
2) Tool Kit
3) Interior Assessories - Little Bulb in Key, Plastic parts covering tops of seat belt mountings

Thanks in advance,

[I am a new member so a) I'll join the 911 Turbo Registar once I've checked the details from the plates in the car and a quick question - Why no 930 Registar ? - One for you John ?).

PS. Looking forward to attending R17 Meet thru the Winter and Track Days next year. I believe the 930 is already familar with the track and has probably met many of you regulars).

Welcome aboard, and be sure to enjoy the car to the full!
If you contact Porsche Cars GB, for the grand sum of £60 they will give you a copy of the original build information, which tells you the exact spec as it left the factory.
Why no 930 Register? It's a long story, but previous Register Director worked on premise that all variants of the Porsche 911 Turbo should be kept together rather than fragmented.
I agreed at the time, but it has become apparent that once the 996 model arrived, the owners almost always refer to them as 996 Twin Turbos rather than 911 Turbos. The arrival of the 996 Turbo was also the beginning of the water cooled 911 Turbo, so if ever there was a natural break point, that was it.
Within the club you will find that the debate regarding the formation of splinter groups or new Registers is one that runs and runs!
Cheers
John
