Hello All
We have both a 911 992 and a Panamera. We have had quite a bit of bother with the 911 since buying it in May 2023 (it was first registered on 17th December 2019) – the latest problem being the erratic failure of the PCM. Guildford Porsche, from whom we bought it, were going to wash their hands of the matter (despite an independent report from the AA confirming that the malfunction existed) but thanks to the input from a couple of the Panamera owners (on our latest monthly call) who were either aware of the issue or had had direct experience of it (when they owned a 911) we were able to persuade Porsche Guildford to carry out the repair under warranty. Sadly, when driving it for the first time after it had been returned to us the failure happened again five times on a 45-minute drive (interestingly it did not fail on the return journey and neither did it happen on a drive I undertook the following day).
So, I was wondering if any of you have experienced a PCM fail (either on a 911 or any other Porsche) and, if so, the nature of the fail and the response you received from Porsche (assuming you bought your vehicle from them).
Thanks in advance.
All my best
Shona
