Hi guys,

Mac and Sue are looking for a number of cars to fill the display at the 50th event, on car from all 50 years. Looking through what's needed an early Lux ('82-'85) would fit in nicely, or only of the very last cars for the '91 year?

Hi Paul

I'm not a member and my car is far from concours, but I'd be more than happy to bring it down if you're stuck. It's an S2 registered March '91

All the best
David

I should be there in the 1991 cab, but not booked yet as Had a couple of jobs threatening to take me far away- fingers crossed should make it. If I do hoping to get a play at silverstone on the saturday though.

Thanks David, but this is for Club members.

Getting the car on display at such a big event is a great bonus, it gets you some good pictures and a good deal of personal satisfaction, and adds to the car's history. There are a few rules, however, in order to ensure that the display doesn't start to get gaps as people arrive late or leave early. You need to be able to commit to arrive before the show opens, and the car needs to remain on the stand until the end. It's not about concourse cars, it's about interesting cars from the relevant year. Well worth doing if you are attending anyway and have a car that fit's the criteria. [:)]

Here's a pic of my first display with the old Lux. Looking at her best, and the fact that the car was so well-known helped loads when selling it.

If you are keen to display your car why not join the club? At £66 it's well worth it as there are many benefits of being a member.

Alan.

Thanks Paul,
Pity about not being a member ,but it was nice of him to offer. The Turbo would be great but we need that to be a definite or as you say it will leave gaps . Mind you we have 20 gaps at the moment. Yesterdays post got us a couple of hits one definite and one unfortunately of a year we alredy had. Thats good though if we ask every day and get one car we will have cracked it !!!!!! I dont understand why folk don't want to be on this Display is it because they think they will be put to death after the show?

This is Mac

No problem.

I'm not particulary interested in displaying the car, but would have been happy to help by filling a gap if there had been one.

I'll probably be joining the club in the near future, so might bring that decision forward if it helps. Do you need to be a member to attend the celebrations?

David
