3.0 Litre Fuel pump - help!

Hi, wonder if anyone can help me with advice on my leaking Bosch fuel pump on 1975 3.0 Litre Turbo. Replacement is only available from Porsche Germany at a cost of £735 incl VAT. Apparently this pump was only fitted to 75 and 76 m/y cars and later ones are different and won't fit. 3.3 Turbo cars have 2 Bosch pumps and both can be obtained from Euro Car Parts for total £299 - less than half the cost of the single one!
Bosch will only supply via Porsche.
Anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Grateful for any advise / assistance!

Apparently the spares for it aren't available. The Porsche specialist is very experienced and usually knows where things can be fixed and he is appalled at the cost, but he doesn't know on this one.
 
According to the Porsche Self Study documentation I have, the 1976 and 77 Turbo has two electrical roller cellular pumps in series giving 6.0 to 6.7 bar pressure, no model number is given.
The 1977 and 1978 Turbo models have two electric roller types in series (Bosche EKP 1V). The Carrera and 911S have a single EKP 1V fitted.
The 1981 models use a (short-neck version) Bosche EK P4 pump (911SC and Turbo All) it has an exchangeable pressure maintaining valve located in an adapter. It is an identical part with that used in Types 924 and 928/R.o.W. For the 911 Turbo the pump located underneath the fuel tank is fitted with a pressure maintaining valve.
The Data Table says the Turbo is fitted with 2 EKP 4 pumps, min. delivery rate 1170 cu.cm/30 secs and system pressure is 6.0 to 6.7 bar.

I guess the implication is that two pumps are needed to maintain flow rates and pressures for the Turbo engine, and that ONE of the pumps (underneath the tank) has the (exchangeable) pressure maintaining valve fitted (presumably a non-return valve?) and the other one doesn't.
911SC has 204 bhp output, 911 Turbo has 260 bhp, so if your 1974 Turbo has a similar power output it probably will be OK with two of the later pumps.

Thanks for your help on this Philip, sadly the pumps for the 1976 and 1977 cars are somewhat different, as are the input and output pipes on the car, so those particular pumps cannot be used. As there are two fuel pumps on the Turbo, they need to be kept matched front to rear. Indeed, Porsche always stated that if one pump actually failed, then both should be replaced, although that would not apply to a leaking pump.
Looks like I'm stuck with a very expensive new pump unless someone can fix the existing one, but spares are not available and anyway the car would be immobile in the workshop whilst repairs are done, which would be difficult for them.
