2014 hybrid Panamera mysterious tailgate opening.

over the last 6 months I have returned to my locked 2014 Panamera hybrid twice only to find the tailgate was wide open. My keys were in the house so I haven't triggered it. Has anyone else had the same problem and if so how did you remedy it.

The above post has just landed on the Register Forum, to my knowledge, at least in its current guise.

Has anyone else had a similar problem of unintended tailgate opening? I'd be interested to hear from you.

I’ve had similar on other cars where the fob button has been pressed whilst in your pocket. Also garage door opener gets pressed and garage door is up and down like a yo-yo. Had it with the wife’s Mini Clubman with the barn doors at the back which opened into the electric garage door. There I was forcing the garage door up and it was the Mini back door that was stopping it. Thankfully got away with just one very small paint chip.
