2006 Cayman S Alarm Issue

Hi,

Earlier this year I bought my first Porsche, a 2006 Cayman S. I love the car but I've started having an issue with the alarm goung off for no apparent reason. It's not a regular issue but, for some reason on certain days the alarm just keeps going off. I reset it and then it goes off again. Strangely it never seems to happen when it's parked at home.

Before I take it in to get it looked at, I was wondering if anyone on the forum had experienced a similar issue and if so did you find out what was causing it?

One possibility is that your battery is on it's way out and a cell is failing, get the battery checked as voltage fluctuations can cause alarm to operate.
