Hi all. I've just joined the club and looking forward to enjoying my Boxter over the summer.
I'm now looking for a replacement, drivers side, Window Regulator. Can anybody point me in the direction of where I could find a WORKING Regulator please.
Also, can these be repaired/refurbished.
Thanks very much for any advice/guidance.

Is it definitely the window regulator?

We had 986 where window would not fully lift on closing and later central locking would not lock which turned out to be worn rubber gasket in drivers side door handle, where gasket had moved stopping handle closing fully flush and not activating the microswitch.

Used 986 parts are widely available on the web and there are several prestige car breakers on the web who warrant used parts as working with right to return. Most of them list on eBay as well as direct on their own websites (generally cheaper to buy direct).

Also try the part number comparison websites to see if it's a shared part, such as with VW / Audi, as can be cheaper to buy using the non-Porsche part number.

For new part check the continental European car parts websites as even with shipping these can be substantially cheaper than UK sellers.

Hope this helps

^^ great advice^^!
When I did my 987.2 , left and right failed terminally at separate times, I bought both parts from Design911 who also offer PCGB discount (10% I think) that neatly off-sets the postage.
Both fitted perfectly.

Check with your local OPC, with Porsche Classic status you will probably get the part cheaper than from D911 once you add VAT and delivery to the D911 prices.
