2.7 owners spark plug gap

Do / have any other 944 2.7 owners gapped their spark plugs to 0.6mm ?

For a while now I've used NGK coppers as they always seem reliable and have no bad reviews generally and was happy with them. I was green in thinking they were 'pre gapped'. They are, but are not always the right gap size for the car ! On checking them out of the box they were 0.8mm. I didn't think 0.2mm would make too much difference, but it's definately more smoother and starts better i've noticed.

Looking at the NGK spec website - 2.5 inc turbo req. 0.7mm so can be used from the box. 2.7 is a 0.6mm gap.

How boring but maybe useful ![8|]

here's a reply rather than stony silence.
I got a set of iridium NGK's and as per your comments I noticed that the standard gap is not the recommended 0.6mm for my engine.
I very carefully adjusted the gap to 0.6mm from the standard 0.7mm - needle-nosed pliers on the side electrode and frequent micrometer measurements as the gaps came down. Obsessive or what!.
They are absolutely fine - no idea whether it made any difference but as with all matters Porsche, rule 1 is RTFM.
