2.5 injector pulse

Hello all I'm back with stupid questions to annoy you all. It's what I do best

Just picked up another 944 this time a 2.5 to go with my s2.

But it's got a problem with the injector pulse and anyone shed any more light on this for me for example how do I fix of and get it back on the road

Is that the up pulse or the down pulse? And for the engine injector or the gearbox injector?

As Simon said, let us have more information if you can. Who told you it was an 'injector pulse' that was causing the problem? And what are the symptoms of the problem that you are having? Bad running? Too rich? Won't run at all?

What is the history of the car - has it run recently and suddenly given up? Did you buy it as a non-runner?

Sorry for late reply. I bought it as a non runner and all I was told is the injector pulse has gone. I may just make myself a new ecu chip first see if that works if not I will stick a new engine in it

Put a new DME relay in it first(!) and after that Id suspect the FPR and maybe the DME (ECU) if they dont fixt it. Google Clarks Garage and youll find a raft of useful diagnostic techniques. Follow them carefully - Clark's site is probably the most accurate, useful and most popular diagnostic and repair guide anywhere.

Can't see how either [a new chip or a new engine] will solve your problem?

ECU / DME may be faulty - you could get it tested. A new chip in a faulty box won't help.

Injector wiring may be faulty - you could test for continuity from the ECU connector to the injector connectors

It could just be the DME relay not turning on the fuel pump..

But if it's a non-runner I'd suggest you don't believe what you were told and start from scratch - check spark, fuel and air (induction system - AFM etc..),... A fault in one or more starts you on the right route. Clarksgarage.com is the place to go for info.
