1986 Oval dash central locking?

Question: Is central locking standard on 1986 oval dash Lux?
There is no central locking switch in the car.
Just when turning the key in the door, it feels how central locking locks feel when battery disconnected/flat.
So Im not sure if my car has it but it does not work, or if it simply does not have it at all.

thank you

I had it on my '86 lux, not connected to an aftermarket system I don't think. It had the lock button in the centre consol the same as my S2.

Interesting. My opinion was based on my experience selling parts for the cars and conferring with PH (who has dismantled hundreds of them). This said though, I have script handles on my 1988 with central locking - another thing that experience suggested shouldnt be the case.

I might have look into whether mines got the unit around the steering column and solnoids fitted in the doors.... certainly feels like it does.
