1985 Porsche 924 LUX[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Granite Red (metallic burgundy) 924 2.0 in excellent condition. Full service history - every year - 125,000 miles. Just tuned by Porsche specialist and sailed through MOT last month (June). Taxed until end of August. I bought it from a 65 year old college lecturer who just retired and couldn't get in and out of it easily any more because of his arthritis. He owned it for the last 13 years as his daily driver, and looked after it. I snapped it up from him because it was a bargain and I wanted my first Porsche... Now I've tried it I want to sell and upgrade! The previous two owners had it AA checked before they bought, and the reports are in with the service history! He had it fully resprayed in 1998 (original metallic and lacquer, baked - bill available), so the paintwork is unusually good - with the odd scratch and stone chip, but stunning to look at. Interior is excellent - the usual cracks on upper dash and one split on inside of driver's seat vinyl, but otherwise the interior looks mint (you need to see it), in black with black and white pinstripe seats. New mats. Removable sunroof which doesn't leak. Boot leaks slightly in one corner, but water runs down into the well at the side of the boot and out of a drainhole at the bottom - no rust has occurred because of this (I believe it's all galvanised anyway). All electrics work (so that's remote boot release, sunroof, mirrors, windows) although not sure about headlamp washers. The previous owner tried touching up a couple of marks on the wing mirrors and splodged the touch-up paint somewhat. Original alloys are good - they look really great from 10 feet, but a little less good from close-to. Classic car insurance and low running costs (VW/Audi engine!).[FONT=verdana, geneva"]I think that's it. Please reply to this post for more pics (there are 45 on the web) and any other info. This is surely way better than your average 924, and priced very, very keenly. I showed it at a classic car show last weekend, and had all sorts of interest with the most common comment being - "wow - that's in superb condition" or words to that effect...[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"]£1,395 ... 01392 879620 or 07906 125321, in Exeter.
