Hello
I have just joined the club and I am trying to track down what's become of a maroon, 1967 Sportomatic 911; Reg OYT 911F. I knew this car well as a child.
My father was a close friend of the late Les Horrocks who bought the car in about 1969/70, and owned it until his death in the 1990's. My mother is still in touch with his widow, Freddie. I have looked it up on the DVLA website but its appears not to have been taxed since 2010.
It would be good to find out what's become of it after all these years. Can anyone help?

Nick

The car was purchased from Freddie by a guy in the North East I believe, who 'restored' it back to original by replacing the seats [Les, being an upholsterer had put 'armchairs' in it] and removed the rear flaired wheel arches. I drove this car after Les died and Freddie was seeking advice on value; special car as one the first two RHD Sportomatic 911s that came into the UK in the same shipment. I may have more information and will check my records. Try the early 911 Register Sec.

Hi Peter
I remember the seats being changed and the wheel arch extensions. It originally had steel wheels but Les put alloys on, hence the arch extensions, which were quite subtle I remember. Les was part of Contour Seats, he did very good quality stuff. My father had a set of his sport seats for several years in his cars. Anything else you can find would be interesting.
I looked on the DVLA website, and it look like the car is now abroad.
I’ll contact the early 911 Secretary.
cheers.
