Thank you for the reply.
Sadly, it all reads a bit negative...

Thank you, yes, have the map shown and the display details etc, but not sure of the distances from Zone 27 to the action of the 2 pits.
And the NAILS, surely there are none in the area!?
Hope you enjoy the weekend! Thanks for the clarification.
My issue is mainly an acute foot problem, fine when driving, murder when walking.
Trying to weigh up if it is going to be too much esp with a big touring holiday coming up fast.
Not lazy, just trying to be aware of the situation.
Re the nails, I would hope it was a one off and will not be repeated - I was one of the people in 2023 picking up literally bags full of nails, screws, sharp bits of metal etc. from in amongst the gravel where my car had been parked, and having had to have a tyre replaced a few weeks earlier due to a slow puncture caused by a screw, I was not best pleased to see this (understatement!). If I recall correctly the cars (Caymans and I think Cayennes mainly) in that area were parked elsewhere the next day. I would hope the club made a formal complaint about it, so I hope nothing like this is repeated this year.Zone 27 is at the rear of the Wing and paddock area which is shown as Zone 22 on the map. There is normally a bus service between Zone 21 and Zones 11/12. From there you can walk through the paddock areas Zones 1 and 2 to get to the Heritage pits in Zone 1.
Usually there is another bus service which as I recall has one of its stops near the roundabout by Zones 15 and 18 but I don't know its route.
I think the infamous nails was a one-off following a prior event and for which the contractors received some feed back from Silverstone.
