PCCM+ fitting issues

Had a PCCM+ fitted to my 2004 Boxster S by local main agent in Guildford.
collected about 3 weeks ago and only Sat Nav worked, took car back and now syncs to phone and android auto works. I‘ve worked out how to load music onto SD card, needs to be SDHC and not SDXC and you can’t copy from iTunes as MP4a format, whereas car accepts mp3. Fortunately I have music stored on a Brennan which is in flac format that Porsche accepts.
Main issue is radio, it doesn’t pick up any radio stations, unless at dealership in Guildford, where there is also a DAB radio transmitter, It seems to me to have a fault with the aerial. Seems very poor service by main agent.
Anybody had this problem?

There’s replacement antenna wiring / amplifiers in the kit. Sounds like they haven’t installed them. Have a look on friends green Porsche YouTube channel. They have a fitting video and they talk about the amplifier bypass / replacement there.

Hi and thanks. Yes I'd seen the Friends Green video and how aerial needed boosters and even showed it to the Guildford service manager, however he advised that was showing fitting to a 997 and my car being a 996 would be different. Still waiting for them to resolve problem.

Ok that’s “fair” but to counter there is a readily available copy of the official tech bulletin for install in a 9x6 online

Perhaps the service manager would like to walk you through that and if they have done everything it says then refer it up the line ….

Me personally I hate it when people spend time telling you why you aren’t right but can’t spend a fraction of that time considering they might be in the wrong.

End of the day. If it doesn’t do what they sold it as then perhaps they need consider a reinstatement and refund.

“Here we have a 3.6 litre flat 6 but yours only works on 5 cylinders. Let’s call it 3 litre and keep the cash you paid us, thanks”
