Hiya all

Need help I cant open the bonnet. I have a fully charge battey and if I use the switch I can hear a clickng from the front of the car. Been looking for days for the pully in the wheel arch will no luck. I have google and watched all the videos on youtube ect ect.......2001 986 3.2s Any help please

Not sure which model you have, but on my Cayman 981 I had to take the nearside front wheel off and then the front part of the arch liner. The wire cable was tucked in next to the waterpipes against the front trunk.

Worth a try - use the key fob button with some downward pressure on the lid, just above the latch.

It sounds as though the latch mechanism is working and - as John suggests - leaning on the lid while using the key fob may be enough to release the latch, otherwise I fear that the only alternative is to use the emergency release cable which I think is accessed from the offside wheel arch on your 986.
