LED Bulbs

I recently got some of these Philips Ultinon Pro 5100 bulbs for my daily driver (in H7 form), they are also available in H4 and *could* potentially fit the small space in the 944 headlight.

Got mine from www.powerbulbs.com as they were the cheapest when I looked.

Note that the use of LED bulbs in halogen housings is not permitted for road use and will be an MOT failure in the UK...

Left is the new Philips Ultinon, right is a few years old Osram Nightbreaker Laser Halogen H7.

Thankyou both for your prompt responses.

I note the thing about MOT and will do my research on this.

Switching from my normal, modern-day Beamer to the old Porsche I really notice how the headlamp technology has developed and improved in the last twenty-odd years! And probably how my eyes have got worse…

Cataract ops are probably cheaper....

I ended up buying some of the Philips Ultinon from Amazon and they are, dare say it, BRILLIANT, the difference between night and day.

In all seriousness, it's a massive improvement, where I live is pretty rural so at night it is pitch dark. It probably wouldn't be necessary in an urban area but a great upgrade.

Cheers @Eldavo & @dlknight top advice!!
