Meet, Drive and Eat (MDE)
A pleasant day out in Rutland, courtesy of Allan and Jackie Gregory, was enjoyed by a group of 18 Register members in mid-April. Using identical rendezvous sat nav codes, most arrived at the correct destination; however, a couple (including me) ended up a mile or so beyond and had to retrace our steps. That’s modern technology for you, I suppose!
Having circumnavigated Rutland Water, all 4,200 acres of it, we passed by the striking Belvoir Castle, home to the current Duke of Rutland, perched (the Castle not the Duke!) upon the extreme northern corner of Rutland overlooking the Vale of Belvoir to the south. We then beat a prompt retreat to our lunch stop at the nearby Chequers Inn to ensure we could all get a parking space. Thanks to Allan and Jackie for a very well organised and interesting day out.

Robert Croxford’s new GTS
More new Macans delivered
Robert Croxford has swapped his old GTS for the latest model in Carrera White. He’s very impressed with the latest version, although he will need to take advantage of the ‘Porsche Masterclass’ to understand all the new features of the touch screen. Jonathan Madden also has a new GTS in Copper Ruby Metallic and very smart it looks too.
