Oh, what a ‘loverly’ day we had, the day we went to Shropshire!
Keith and Olive Barnett picked a very pleasant day to take us around their ‘patch’. A collection of 10 Macans and their occupants met for coffee at David Austin Roses for the latest in the series of Meet, Drive and Eat (MDE). I enjoyed a very tasty slice of rose Battenburg cake before taking up my position as Tail End Charlie (sweeper). A visit to the Museum of Iron at Ironbridge followed where we learned the history of smelting of iron ore in the area and the building of the Iron Bridge in 1779.
