Sadly, our much-awaited annual BBQ has had to be postponed until next year. However, I’m delighted to say members Robert and Mary Lane have very kindly offered to host an alternative picnic event at their farm near Olney, north of Milton Keynes. This will take place on Sunday 23 August and will involve meeting at Broughton Castle near Banbury, Oxon for coffee and a walk around the grounds of this privately-owned, moated and fortified manor house, before setting off on a scenic drive through delightful villages of the Oxon, Northants and Bucks countryside and arriving for a socially-distanced picnic in a great rural location.
