Some sign of life

A short column this time and, yes I know, shorter than last month’s column. Honestly speaking, there is not a lot going on at the moment. I had a few enquiries from members wanting to buy GT3 – from the earliest to the latest models – and that is nice to see. It reminds me of ‘normal’.

In the same vein, I see most independents have now opened or will by 1 June, and I have seen some signs of the official dealers coming back to life - another example of getting back to ‘normal’, albeit still with much needed restrictions.

I have yet to have my car returned from having its Perlon seat fabric replacement but I am hopeful that, by the time you read this, I will have it back… and enjoying taking it for a drive or two or three. I am also eyeing up UK trackdays, which are coming back on. The RMA double header at Spa for late June was tempting but just as I am looking to book it, I reminded myself that a) I did not have my car back yet, and b) the UK and then French quarantines are in force. Spending four weeks in quarantine for two days of track time – hmm not really... It’s difficult to plan anything at the moment.

But all told and said, at least we are all healthy and, at least for me, very busy business wise. I hope it is the same for all members.

Here is to getting back to normal as soon as possible.

Happy GT3ing!

Alex
