Time Attack Day - Donington Park

As mentioned before, we have had an offer from fellow GT3 owner Andy Barnes. He has offered us a reserved GT3 parking area and two - three parade laps at Donington Park during his organisation's Time Attack championship meeting on Sunday 18 August.

See www.timeattack.co.uk

The day comprises a round of the Time Attack, Motorsport UK Drift-Pro and Racing Honda Championships, all accompanied by a large and busy car show that includes trade stands, exhibits and over 100 cars on display…. as well as the supercar parade lap, which is us in our GT3s!

It struck me as a great way to meet up, watch some interesting non-Porsche motorsport and have a few Parade Laps of the Donington Circuit to showcase the GT3s on track. The organisers have also offered to get their official photographers to record the occasion, so promises to be a great day out.

To book your slot please follow the following process:

First: please register for the GT3 part of the event. Click HERE

Then, go to 'Club Stand Booking Instructions' and click the red 'Enter your Car' button.

Complete the short form and when asked, add our unique club code: PCGB24-GT3Register. We need this for the exclusive parking and parade lap entry - if you wish to take part in the track session.

Second: you will also need to book a ticket for the event itself direct form the circuit operators MSV. It is one of their headline motorsport events. This can be done by clicking the red 'Get Tickets' button in the top right-hand corner of the show website, or via this link, click HERE:

Go to the middle of page and hit 'Book Tickets'.

The cost (early bird discounted) is £23 per adult, less for teenagers etc.

On the lead up to the event, instructions and vehicle passes, a site plan and timetable will be emailed to each registered member. That is why they need all your details.

Some points

  • The parade laps will be behind a pace car – it is a supercar parade not a track day (sorry). Helmets are not required but you are free to wear them if you wish. Cars are on track at their owner’s risk.
  • If we do not have a reasonable number for the supercar parade, we will not run it. It would be embarrassing to have only four or five GT3s circulating.
  • If we have fewer than five GT3s attending, we will not have a privileged parking area, just the normal parking.
  • Please note that entries close at midnight on Wednesday 7 August

I hope we will see many of you at Donington and that we can put on a great show of GT3s both within our static display and during the parade laps – from the oldest to the newest.

It will be great to meet up and also to enjoy a full day of motorsport and car show culture. It's an event that appeals to all petrolheads! I have booked my place!
