How rare?
As 930s are becoming ever more collectable, so the queries that I get as regards production numbers, especially for the first 3.0 models, have increased. For years, due to at least two sets of supposedly accurate figures being in circulation (34 and 74), answering this query with certainty wasn’t possible.
Fortunately, author Ryan Snodgrass, who was given access to all Porsche AG production records for his phenomenal book, ‘Turbo 3.0: Porsche’s First Turbocharged Supercar’, has produced a definitive answer: 88. This is the figure for all 3.0 930s delivered to Porsche Cars GB between 1974 and 1978.
