Wiring in a battery conditioner
As our cars are now all over 45 years old, I expect nearly all are used in the summer only and laid up for the winter. When I first started doing this myself I ended up replacing at least two batteries until I purchased a conditioner to attach whilst the car was off the road over winter. It was a Porsche charge-o-mat Pro, which came with a cigar lighter plug to attach it to the car. Unfortunately, in our vehicles the cigar lighter socket is only live with the ignition turned on so cannot be connected this way.
