At the time of writing, it is the end of 2023 and looking back it has been a very active year for R17, which we hope you have enjoyed as much as we have.
Club night
We closed the year with the last Club night of the year on 12 December along with the now-traditional Christmas quiz, which was attended by around 65 people, a fantastic turnout. It was superbly run by the best quizmaster in the business Charlie McLaughlin, we hope you enjoyed the mince pies as well as the brain teasers and the big prize - a tin of Quality Street for the winning table of Phil and Jane Pearson, Phil and Melinda Samms, and Nigel and Tracy North (at least one sweet each!).

We also raised £150 for our charity ‘Sophie’s Legacy’, so thank you for your incredible generosity. We were joined by first-timers Nina and Tony Toyne, and Steve Hodgkins, so a very warm welcome to them.

13 February 'Petrol Ped' evening
Come along and meet with local YouTuber and fellow Porsche enthusiast Peter Greeves aka 'Petrol Ped' at Porsche Centre Portsmouth for what is sure to be an interesting and enjoyable evening, from 7.30pm.
3 March Drive and dine to The Deers Hut
Let’s get the drive and dine season underway with a scenic tootle across Hampshire and lunch at this lovely gastro pub. Details on the R17 events webpage.
26-28 April WOTY
Join us on the beautiful Isle of Wight for our spring 2024 Weekend of the Year.
Our PCGB friends on the IoW will host their R17 brethren from across the water as well as the 993 Register who will be completing the island section of the Baton Challenge in visiting the three RNLI stations - a perfect excuse to see the best of this spectacular coast and meet some new PCGB friends.

2024 plans
By now we will have published the 2024 calendar with again a full and varied year of fun and interesting events and activities, both local and National. Highlights include a visit to some summer sun in the Dordogne, a weekend exploring the best of Gloucestershire and the Malvern Hills and much more besides.
We hope to meet as many of you as possible during the year whether it's for a drive and dine, our WOTY or simply come along to our monthly members’ meet. It would be great to see you and your Porsche, old or new, four-door or two-door where you are guaranteed a warm welcome from fellow enthusiasts.
