Summer barbecue
The month started with a bang on 1 August with a summer barbecue at our Club night venue, the Cock Inn at Sarratt, with its extensive grounds and plenty of outside seating. For once, the weather obliged. Close on 60 people turned out including a few late entries. Most of the usual suspects were present as were, gratifyingly, a number of occasional visitors plus some new faces. The vast majority had pre-booked and paid, so there was minimal admin on the night. All had a good time. Our hosts did us proud with an extensive selection of well-presented BBQ grub.
