Taking place on Friday 1 December starting with a concentration run from wherever you happen to be, to The Akeman Inn on the A41 between Aylesbury and Bicester for breakfast. This will be followed by a relaxed drive of approximately an hour and a half and about 40 miles, across country, to the recently opened Caffeine and Machine, The Bowl, for a light leisurely lunch or whatever takes your fancy.
This C&M, their second such venture, is located on the main Ampthill to Bedford road, very close to the well known Millbrook Proving Ground, hence “The Bowl” (takes it’s name from Millbrook’s two mile perfectly circular banked high speed test track).
There is plenty of parking, plenty of inside seating, even more outside! Food service and bar available. Have a look at their website.
A helpful, suggested but optional route will be provided through google maps, avoiding Aylesbury, Leyton Buzzard and MK! About 40 miles, no timing, totally non-competitive, it will not be a convoy although small groups are OK.
There will be two limits applied. Firstly statutory speed limits, please observe them and drive courteously, secondly a limit of 12 cars, first come first served. No cost for attendance, just whatever you choose to spend on the day.
