Tour of the Chilterns

17 October 2021

Richard York has very kindly put together a ‘Tour de Chilterns’ drive to take place on Sunday 17 October with details as follows:

Assemble from 9.30am at the Little Hay Golf Complex parking at the end of the car park furthest from the clubhouse to avoid disruption to golfers. Coffee etc. will be available in the clubhouse. The kitchen will also be open for breakfast if anyone feels inclined, if so you might want to arrive a little earlier. The intention is that everyone will leave by 10.30am, singly if you so choose but if two - three want to travel together that’s OK too. We are not proposing a convoy, so a couple of minutes separation would be appropriate.

Richard will hand out simple route instructions that will take you via Wendover, Butlers Cross, Princes Risborough, Longwick, Thame, then along the A329 towards Wallingford, through Little Milton, Stadhampton and finishing up at the Waterfront Café on the Thames at Benson. A decent road but watch out for the odd speed camera.

The run should take about and hour and 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and how you drive! It’s also just a suggested route, so feel free to deviate using sat-nav, phone, map or just local knowledge. We are expected at the Waterfront Café from 12 noon onwards.

Parking at the Waterfront Café can be a bit of a challenge, so Richard has very enterprisingly organised Porsche parking in the immediately adjacent boatyard, just on the right as you enter the café area.

The Waterfront Café is Covid-19 safe and very organised.

Have a look at the website HERE.

We are limiting starters to 15 cars so if you are interested please book asap with Martin Foster at r21@porscheclubgb.com.
