Graham and I went on a WOTY last weekend with the 3-2 Register to North Yorkshire where we were joined by Region 21, needless to say a great time was had by all! As part of the itinerary we were due to visit Specialist Cars of Malton, I wasn't too keen on the idea thinking that we had been a few times before so must have seen everything.Boy was I wrong! John really pulled out all the stops for us! His showroom was full of fabulous cars including Lamborghinis,Mercedes, Porsches (of course) including a show stopping 918 Spyder which had just been sold for an eye watering price! However that wasn't all, John then took us all on a tour of his paint shop and body shop talking us through the various cars,their history and what work was to be carried out on them.Just when we thought it couldn't get any better he then showed us all the cars that had been restored or had undergone a full respray or in some cases been changed from narrow bodied to wide bodied. Nearly all of these cars were going abroad to Hong Kong China or New Zealand so as John said due to import duty they would never be seen in this country again,a great shame as they were all absolutely stunning.
