The Loire Valley is home to Le Mans 24hr. We will be staying in the town of La Charte Sur Le Loir which is located around 45 minutes south of the Le Mans 24hr track. In the heart of this picturesque town is the Hotel de France, where we will be staying. Up until the late 1960’s the hotel was where the top teams stayed and worked on their cars. Anybody who was anybody in Le Mans 24hr motorsport has stayed at the hotel, even the late great Steve McQueen, Stirling Moss, Carol Shelby, and Jackie Kennedy Onassis to name but a few.
With the help of two R3 members, who are ex-residents of this region of France, we will be making the most of the superb driving roads, beautiful countryside, vineyards and Chateaux.
