Member's Car of the Month

This month's car belongs to Elisabeth Hodder

Elisabeth had this to say about her Boxster -

Here is my Boxster S in Agate Grey, registered December 2016. When the Boxster was first mooted in 1996, the BMW Z3 and Mercedes SLK were also being born. I liked all three models, but the unique shape of the Z3 got my vote, and I had one of the first Z3's on the road in Suffolk in 1997. I later bought the Mercedes SLK, and became a convert to convertibles with a hard roof. The Boxster was rather too long and wide to fit safely in my rather small office car park. Having had many a scratched door panel over the years, I knew it just wasn't worth the risk. And so the Boxster had to wait until I'd retired from playing Russian Roulette in the office car park, and had retired from practice.

It was worth the wait. I bought this particular Boxster for her understated colour, and her specification, not for her speed. She came with: no model number on the boot; entry and drive; park assist with rear camera; dynamic headlights; sport chrono; sports exhaust; wheel centers with full coloured crest; lane change assist; light design package; GT sport steering wheel; fully electric sports seats with 14 way adjustment and memory settings; crests on headrest; 20 inch Carrera wheels; full leather interior; aluminium interior package; roll over bar in aluminium; Porsche Connect; wheel centers with colour crest; active suspension management; navigation module; digital radio - I've forgotten all of her extras but I do remember there were 30 of them. She had one prior owner, and was supplied to me by Porsche at Harston. She has recently had ceramic treatment, inside and out. She is a joy to look at and to drive.
