356 Weekend / PIE Performance Cars & Coffee April 2016 | Norfolk & Suffolk Events April 2016

We have been able to organise a visit to our region for the Club's 356. Member will be able to book drives in this restored classic from PIE Performance on the weekend of Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May. As we have no Porsche Centre in Norfolk & Suffolk, getting the club 356 here in the Region has not been easy so please take this opportunity to drive the car while it is here, otherwise you can book to drive it from Cornbury house at Moreton in Marsh!

Saturday 30 April

365 Drives

Club member 356 drives will take place from 09:30 until 16:30, in half hour slots with a short break at lunch time.

Drivers must be a full or joint Porsche Club GB member with their own membership card and will be accompanied by a member of the regional team during the drive. You will need to produce your current membership card and the completed paperwork that we will email you when you've booked and of course your driving licence. These are club rules and part of the club’s insurance requirements.

BG Products Air Intake Services

Dave Strachan from BG Products will be carrying out Air Intake services throughout the day again in half hour slots running from 09:30 until 16:30.

The cost will be £45 per car (cash only please on the day) which will include the chemical for the Air Intake Service (cleaning your cars injectors, combustion chambers and exhaust system - think of it as an engine de-coke without removing the cylinder head/s) plus a can of EPR and MOA or DOC (for your next oil change).

These products can benefit all cars, Porsche or not, that now suffer high carbon build up as a result of the emissions regulations and Exhaust Gas Recirculation systems that form part of the regulations, so even if you don't book in your Porsche it's worth finding out how these products can benefit all vehicles, especially diesels!

Sunday 1 May

365 Drives

Club member 356 drives will take place from 10:00 until 16:00, in half hour slots with a short break at lunch time.

PIE Performance Service Clinic

PIE will be conducting a series of four car inspections in the workshop during the day lasting 45 minutess to an hour for each Porsche model booked in. We will be looking for members cars who would like their car to be checked over as part of an interactive service clinic with a questions and answers as part of the inspection.

With time for only four sessions we would ideally like examples of members cars covering Air Cooled & Water Cooled 911s, Boxster/Cayman, Front engined such as 924/928/944/968 and Cayenne/Macan. Each session would have 2 variations of cars on the ramps.

Guest Speakers

PIE have kindly arranged for at least a couple of speakers to give short presentations.

11:00, Aled Archer, Director, Mobile Remaps

Aled from Mobile Remaps will be covering engine mapping and remapping, why, what are the benefits and pitfalls.

14:30, Jason Lavender, Kleers

Jason from Kleers will be talking about detailing products and techniques.

Besides speaking, Aled and Jason will be available all day to give information and advice.

PIE Performance Offers

As part of the weekend PIE will be offering some special discounts to those attending on the following:

All offers valid for three months to members visiting the event and collecting an offer voucher/leaflet.

Catering

There will be teas & coffees, plus burgers, hot dogs, bacon rolls etc available.

For those who would like to meet up with member friends for lunch there are several cafes and restaurants in Lavenham. The local pubs are The Cock in Lavenham, and the Swan at Monks Eleigh, just a mile away.
