North Norfolk Fishy Picnic

12 July 2015

Day Out in North Norfolk. Visit to Felbrigg Hall in the morning followed by an afternoon “Fishy” Picnic by kind invitation of members John and Sue Gibson.

Meet at Felbrigg Hall (one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia). If you would like to look around the Hall and Gardens, please aim to arrive by 11.30 a.m. The prices on the day are as follows:- entrance to the House and Gardens will cost £8.60 per adult, and just the gardens will cost £4.05 if we book in as a group. In order to obtain the group discount they require fees to be made as one payment on the day. Therefore Colleen would collect cash on arrival and distribute tickets. The correct money would be very helpful. National Trust members admitted free with valid cards. There is a restaurant on site for teas/coffees etc. Please let Colleen know by the end of June if you would like to do this as a booking form has to be completed and returned to Felbrigg Hall giving them an idea of numbers turning up.

We aim to leave Felbrigg Hall around 1.15 p.m. and a 5 minute drive takes us to John and Sue Gibson's home for a picnic in their lovely garden. A buffet will be served of fresh crabs, prawns, fresh and smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, roll mops etc (as available) with salad, bread and drinks. An alternative to fish can be supplied if ordered at time of booking for those who are allergic or dislike it.

John and Sue will provide all crockery, glasses, cutlery and seating etc but if you wish to take a garden chair or picnic rug please do so. Cost £12 per head to include all food and drink.

Book with Colleen – please note that payment for the Picnic is required in advance please – cheques made payable to Mr J Gibson and sent to Tony and Colleen, 2 Chapel Close, Pulham Market, Diss, Norfolk. IP21 4SS by the end of June. We will then give you directions to Sue and John’s home.
