We have been invited to attend to attend Gringley on the Hill's open Gardens & Classic Car Show.
Gringley on the Hill is a village to the west of Gainsborough. Every 2 years they have an open gardens and classic car show. We went to walk around a few years ago and it was excellent. Good range of gardens to walk around, and i was surprised at the number and marques of cars attending. There were also tea's in the village hall. A great afternoon out.
We have been invited to attend and the event has grown, barbeque, beer tent, Pimms, craft stall, yarn bombing, steam punk etc! So I for one am looking forward to it.
The event is open to the public from 12 to 5pm, so we would need to be on site during the morning, probably around 10.30 (yes cars arrivee from 7am!!), and they would like us to arrive as a group to make it easier for their stewards. I will organise a meet point and time nearer the date. If you need to leave before 5pm that would be possible but only with the guidance of one of their stewards.
We need to book, and they can accomodate 15 of us as a club. There is no charge, and we get a free pass to the gardens, so no admission fees. As we often do at other events I would propose I collect a donation from those attending, say £10 per car.
