International Bomber Command Centre

Thank you to Alan Anderson for organising this.

The International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) is an interpretation centre and memorial relating to the historical impact of and on Bomber Command during WWII. The centre aims to tell personal stories of members and civilians impacted by the bombing campaigns during WWII.

We start with Sunday lunch at Mill Lodge (Beefeater Inn) at junction B1188 and B1131 (LN4 2RF) Canwick Hill, please arrive by 12:15.

Main Course Menu Choice
Beef                                           £8.99
Chicken                                     £7.99
Lamb                                         £9.99
Veg. Wellington                         £7.99

All served with usual trimmings of Yorkshire Pudding, roasties, vegetables, gravy etc. Choice of dessert can be made on the day.

This will be followed at approximately 2:30pm by a guided tour of the memorial spire and walls and then an opportunity to visit the exhibition at the centre.

The cost of entrance is normally £8.20 per person but if one person pays for a group of 20 plus it will be reduced to £6.50pp. Therefore, £6.50pp will need to be paid to either Alan or Rod at Mill Lodge before the visit, in cash please.

There is also  £3 per vehicle charge for parking so you will need to remember to bring change.

I need to inform Mill Lodge of numbers/main course so please email anderson_alan@icloud.com  with name(s) and main course choice before Friday 7th September.

Should you not wish to take lunch with the group, but want to be part of the visit to the centre at 2:15pm please email me: anderson_alan@icloud.com as I have to inform the centre of numbers. You will need to give £6.50pp, in cash, to myself or Rod prior to entrance.
