We have now rescheduled the discussion on the proposed TOTYs (Tour of The Year) for 2019 and 2020.
The meeting will now be at Dunholme Old School Community Centre, 8 Market Raisen Road, Dunholme, LN2 3QR. Please arrive from 7pm for the meeting to start at 7.30pm. There will be tea/coffee and biscuits (maybe even cake!!), but there is no meal organised. The meeting could take up to 2 hours.
To recap it is proposed we visit the Classic Race Aarhus, in Denmark, in 2019, and to go the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco in 2020. The events are at the beginning of May and end of May in their respective years.
We will once again be using our good friends Mark and Alison from European Driving Tours to organise these events on our behalf. They have organised a number of Tours for PCGB regions, including our previous Dambusters Tour, and our trip 2 years ago to the Champagne Region and Classic Le Mans.
We are meeting with Mark and Alison so they can put forward some ideas and discuss with us what sort of things we would like if possible on the these trips, so they can start to plan and put the itineraries together. They may seem a long way off, but believe me Mark and Alison need to be getting bookings for hotels etc in place very quickly.
The meeting is not just for those who have expressed an interest in the trips, or are considering them, but is open to any other members who wish to attend - who knows you may have some interesting ideas/thoughts even if you cannot go on the trips. If you have not been on one of our TOTYs this will give you an idea of what they are about and include.
