Come along to our usual group visit to this very small but homely airfield in the very Northern corner of Lincolnshire where the bacon & sausages butties become very special, along with its annual vintage plane flyin over two days. As before it’s a very good day for a social gathering & watch the planes old & new arrive & leave, and a wonderful starter for the Tour the next day.
North Coates Flying Club exists to keep aviation alive at North Coates.
The club is also very much aware of the airfield’s history and has over 350 photographs and still growing plus many artefacts now on display in the heritage room. In 2013 the club added a rare example of a Bloodhound Mk1 missile to the collection, which is under restoration and will eventually be displayed at the entrance to their premises.
