We are saddened to learn of the passing of John Chesworth, former Regional Organiser for Region 2 Scotland, and a Porsche Club Director in 2012-13.
As proud owners of a 912, John and wife Avril joined Porsche Club in 1973. During a career that took John and his family around the world for 26 years, they participated in events with Porsche Clubs in other countries before retirement in 2001 meant a return to the UK and active Porsche Club GB involvement.
That commitment to Porsche Club included an effective stint as Regional Organiser for Region 2 Scotland from 2005 to 2012 and a period as Director with a special interest in Scotland and northern England Regions.
Some members may recall John’s epic trip to the Artic to celebrate his 70th birthday. The trip was subsequently written up in two parts by John in Porsche Post in October and November 2013 editions. John was made an Honorary Member of PCGB in 2011.
John is survived by wife Avril and two daughters.
