Full throttle festivities at A Porsche Christmas

The weather outside was frightful, but the Porsches were so delightful

We would like to say a huge thank you to our Club members and Porsche enthusiasts who joined us for our Season finale! Warwickshire Event Centre was transformed into a Porsche themed winter wonderland for the day with a hall filled with an incredible display of Porsches, all generously provided by Club members and partners.

Once inside and out of the rain, visitors could admire the themed displays such as the evolution of the 911 turbo and RS models. This ranged from the iconic 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 to the 718 GT4 RS, and included the ultimate evolution of the 991 generation, the extremely rare GT2 RS Clubsport. Other displays included rare transaxle models and limited edition Boxsters.

The focal point throughout the day was the live stage, which saw four former Le Mans racers including Richard Attwood taking part in interviews with motorsport journalist Alan Hyde. Joining them were two Le Mans cars, an ex-works 962 in iconic Rothmans livery and the 963 Hertz Team JOTA.

Many of our Club partners were in attendance and also took part in live talks with an ‘Ask the Experts’ session with Lockton, Oracle and Pirelli’. The Lockton stand was home to the first UK public viewing of the Brabus 820 hp 992 Turbo S Coupe which looked suitably menacing in black. Not to be outdone, Collecting Cars brought along founder Edward Lovett’s Mint Green Tuthill SCRS.

For younger visitors, Father Christmas himself made several visits to the show, complete with his sleigh for the perfect souvenir photo, while the Grinch could be seen roaming the halls and creating mischief.

As well as all the display car owners, we would like to say a huge thank you to the small team of volunteers who were on parking duties from early morning until the show closed.
