Porsche reveals latest Le Mans liveries

Special gold paintwork for the WEC winning 911s

Having already secured the manufacturer’s title in the World Endurance Championship, the Porsche GT team is heading to the season finale at Le Mans with a special coat of commemorative gold paintwork.

All red surfaces of the #91 and #92 cars have been finished in gold with the World Champion logo proudly emblazoned on the roofs. The pits of the Porsche GT Team will also reflect the latest design.

Fritz Enzinger, Porsche’s vice president of motorsport commented: “The gold paintwork on the two 911 RSR racers from the WEC symbolises the early win of the world title for manufacturers, which is something we’re very proud of. In 2018, our cars sported a special design and yielded us a brilliant double victory at Le Mans. We hope to achieve a similar result this year.”

Like last year, Porsche will tackle the 87th edition of the world’s toughest endurance race with four works cars. The 2018 winners Michael Christensen (Denmark), Kévin Estre (France) and Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) will field the #92 Porsche 911 RSR. The #91 sister car is driven by Gianmaria Bruni (Italy), Richard Lietz (Austria) and Frédéric Makowiecki (France).

Sharing the cockpit of the #93 car are Earl Bamber (New Zealand), Nick Tandy (Great Britain) and Patrick Pilet (France). The German works driver Sven Müller shares the #94 cockpit with Porsche Young Professionals Mathieu Jaminet (France) and Dennis Olsen (Norway).
