Porsche Classic pops up at Bicester

Showcase for Porsche parts and service expertise opens in classic motoring hub.

Porsche Cars GB has launched a new Classic Life pop-up shop at the spectacular Bicester Heritage site in Oxfordshire. Run in conjunction with Porsche Centre Swindon – an official Porsche Classic Partner – the shop is a showcase for parts and accessories for older models spanning the first 356 to the 'Type 996' 911, as well as offering on-hand expertise to help owners with any questions they may have.

The concept follows the successful introduction of Porsche Life pop-up shops around the UK. The philosophy behind these is shared with the new Bicester Heritage installation, whereby visitors are offered the chance to learn more about the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer in a more relaxed, informal setting. Porsche Classic Life builds on the success of Porsche Life in seeking to share a similar experience with enthusiasts of all ages, but this time the focus is on legendary models from the marque’s illustrious 70 year history.

The Bicester Heritage site features a customer lounge, parts shop and inspection ramp and is the ideal place to discover more about the world of Porsche Classic. Whether you’re interested in restoration, maintenance, advice, parts or you’re looking to buy anything from a 356 to a first-generation Boxster – or if you just want to drop in, have a coffee and talk about Porsche history. The latest additions to the Porsche Classic Parts catalogue are on display and available to be ordered along with over 52,000 Porsche Classic Genuine Parts.

The charismatic and picturesque location is the former RAF Bicester, now a thriving hub of specialist businesses dedicated to historic motoring. The restored buildings and tree-lined avenues are the perfect setting for Porsche Classic Life, which is based in the old Fire House. Visitors can arrange vehicle inspections thanks to the on-site ramp.

The Classic Life shop opened to the public for the first time at Bicester Heritage’s hugely popular Sunday Scramble meeting on 22 April. The day saw a range of classic models on display including the 1980 924 GTP Le Mans racer, and the 1965 911 2.0 short wheel base being raced during 2018 by drivers such as Anthony Reid and Richard Attwood supported by a team of technicians from the four Classic Partner Centres.

Visitors are welcome to visit Porsche Classic Life and meet the team, though it is advised to call ahead to ensure they are ready to greet you. For more information call Stephen Brown on 07773 948516 or email stephen.brown@porscheswindon.co.uk
