The 919 Tribute Tour got off to a spectacular start this month as Porsche Motorsport’s secretive Evo edition stormed our news feeds by smashing the outright lap record at Spa.
This same car, a highly evolved and derestricted version of last year’s Le Mans winner, will be headlining the Goodwood Festival of Speed in mid-July and the eagerly anticipated Festival of Porsche at Brands Hatch in September.
The Club will be attending both, offering our popular ‘rest and refuel’ stand at Goodwood, where Porsche is the honoured marque, assuming the coveted ‘central feature’ for the third time in the festival’s history to celebrate its own seventieth anniversary.
We’ll also be centre stage at the Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche – again marking seventy years since the birth of the 356 – taking place on September 2nd, providing a spectacular mix of static exhibits, demonstration laps and some seriously competitive racing.

The 919 Evo will perform a parade lap ahead of the Nürburgring 24 Hours next month before heading to the UK in the summer. After that it’s only expected to make one further appearance on the Tribute Tour, at the Rennsport Reunion in California, so these are precious and vanishing chances to see one of Porsche’s most successful and significant racing cars in action.
