On Sunday, 19th June, Neel Jani crossed the finish line at Le Mans in the number 2 919 Hybrid, awarding Porsche their 18th overall victory at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
Porsche had battled with Toyota for much of the race, but with mere minutes remaining, the Toyota stopped on the track, allowing Porsche to take the chequered flag.
The consecutive victory, following Porsche’s success in 2015 was witnessed by hundreds of Porsche Club members who were on site to show their support and cheer on the two 919 Hybrids and seven 911 RSR cars competing in the GT classes.
